How to Melt Your Lace Like a Pro

Installing a lace wig is one thing—but melting it? That’s what separates the beginners from the baddies.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to achieving a flawless, undetectable lace melt every time.

Step 1: Clean the Skin

Start with a clean, dry hairline. Use 91% alcohol to remove oil, makeup, or residue—this helps your adhesive or spray stick better and last longer.

Step 2: Apply Your Lace Tint

Use our Gorgeous Lace Tint Spray in the shade that matches your skin tone. Hold the wig inside-out and mist lightly across the lace. Let it dry completely or use a blow dryer on cool.

Step 3: Apply Adhesive or Spray

Apply your favorite lace glue or spray along your hairline in a thin layer. Wait until it turns tacky (not wet), then gently lay your lace on top.

Step 4: Use the Melt Band

Wrap our Edge Slayer Band tightly around your hairline for 5–10 minutes. This pressure melts the lace into your skin and gives that flawless “no lace” finish.

Step 5: Style & Slay

After removing the band, tie down your edges with our Edge Slayer Kit, style your baby hairs, and you’re done!
